Outdoor adventure playground Avonturis

Do you also want to come and play outside? Go on an adventure in Avonturis!

Go climbing, get dirty, build dams in the water, swing and ride the zip wire. Look for tiny animals, butterflies, birds or maybe even come face to face with a fox. And who knows what else you can discover and experience...

Children can play with running water, sand and pebbles. Parents/carers can watch them or lie on the beach and catch up with each other at one of the picnic areas or benches. The swings are fit for everyone, with or without a disability. The Dutch saying 'loop naar de pomp” (run to the pump, as in get lost) literally applies here. Because the water can pump you up high in the air, and that's even more fun in the water.

‘REAL NATURE’
Older children can go exploring for some 'real' adventure. Climb to islands across tree trunks, hide in the bushes, crawl through concrete pipes, build huts, take the zip wire over the woods... And you don't have to get dirty, but you can if you want. Do you love boats? At the lookout point there's a binocular and a sign naming the different types of boats. Have a look at which countries the boats passing by come from.

FRUIT
Are you fond of nature? Run to the birdwatchers' hut and the insect hotel. There are lots of butterfly-friendly shrubs and bee-friendly plants. There are 17 fruit trees here. These varieties of fruit used to be commonly grown in the surrounding orchards. When they bear fruit, you're allowed to pick and eat the ripe ones!
